Privacy Policy

nkap helps you organize your savings (tontines, challenge money, solo savings). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights. We collect only what the service needs to work.
Data we collect
Account: your email and, if you choose that method, a password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and name.
Profile: first name, last name, country, language, display currency, and — optionally — your phone number and profile photo.
Savings data: the groups you create or join, amounts, contributions, payment proofs you upload, loans and requests.
Technical: push notification subscriptions (if you enable them) and minimal operational data.
How we use your data
Provide the service: show your groups, track contributions, compute deadlines and amounts.
Notify you: reminders and alerts via push and, as a fallback, email.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Providers and hosting
Supabase: database, authentication and file storage (hosted in the European Union).
Brevo: sending transactional emails (reminders, decisions). Google: sign-in with your Google account (OAuth). frankfurter.app: exchange rates (no personal data is sent).
Payment proofs are stored in a private space, accessible only through short-lived signed links.
Local storage on your device
To work offline, the app temporarily stores pending actions on your device (IndexedDB) — for example a payment declaration. They are synced and then cleared once you are back online.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed; a group's shared financial history may be kept in anonymized form for the integrity of the group's records.
Your rights
Access and correction: view and edit your profile in Settings. Export: export your data (Excel/PDF) from the app. Deletion: request deletion of your account.
